Electricity supply in 2012 will basically be guaranteed to meet the full demand of electricity for use development - economic and social life of the people, corresponding to a growth target of GDP in 2012 reached from 6 to 6.5%.
According to the Electricity Regulatory Authority, Ministry of Industry and Trade: Provision of electricity in 2011 was made possible, meet the electricity needs for production and business activities of the people.Contributed to the country's GDP growth and implementation of social welfare objectives of the Party and Government in 2011.
Electricity industry has developed serious, effective the policies and measures by the Government on electricity supply in 2011, which raised up to inexpensive power sources such as fuel oil-fired power, the 6-month dry season DO and during the stop, down the Nam Con Son gas supply and PM3. Therefore, the total power production and import the entire power system in 2011 was estimated at 108.93 billion kWh, up 8.68% over the same period in 2010.
EVN and other units operating safety and stability of power transmission system 500kV North - South power transmission system 220kV/110 kV regional, and power distribution systems on a national scale.
Besides, the total power companies, power companies and the provincial departments of Industry and Trade of the country have stepped up propaganda and implement energy saving measures, using the power reasonably and effectively. In preparation for the supply of electricity in 2012, EVN plans electricity supply and the dry season in 2012.Estimated total electricity produced and purchased in 2012 reached 120.875 billion kWh (up 10.89% compared to 2011). In particular, the dry season reached 58.157 billion kWh and the rainy season reached 62.638 billion kWh.
EVN will raise maximum hydropower resources, coal, electricity and gas heat, electricity and power import high cost (fuel oil, DO) to meet the needs of the entire system. Therefore, the electricity supply in 2012 will basically be guaranteed, fully meet the demand for electricity for economic development and social activities of the people, corresponding to the target GDP growth estimated at 6 to 6.5%.
Ministry also directed the unit to accelerate the introduction into operation of new power sources, promoting the implementation of investment projects in and outside the EVN. Department of Trade cities and provinces to strengthen the propaganda made 171/CT-TTg on 26/01/2011 Directive of the Prime Minister on the implementation of energy saving in the country, especially in the domain Nam in 2012.
